IRONGUARD is a two-component epoxy vapor barrier. It is applied when moisture vapor transmission of substrate exceeds 3 lbs per 1000 ft² over 24 hours using calcium chloride test per ASTM F 1869. This product is designed to be a single coat applied directly to properly prepared concrete substrate.
IRONGUARD EPOXY VAPOUR BARRIER is designed as a solvent based two component high performance vapor barrier especially formulated for damp and wet concrete surfaces. IRONGUARD EPOXY VAPOUR BARRIER is supplied in a convenient one-to one mix ratio and is capable of penetrating and filling the porous structure of concrete where the substrates may be saturated with moisture or water. The product provides an effective subsurface barrier to prevent moisture migration, out-gassing, and chemical penetration, and also forms a strong base coat for subsequent top coats.
Mix ratio 1 Part A to 1 Part B by volume
Tack free 4 hours @ 23°C
Recoat or top coat 6-12 hours @ 23°C
Adhesion 550 psi on damp concrete @ 23°C with 100% concrete failure no delamination
Shelf life: one year in unopened containers.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Do not expose the containers to direct sunlight and keep away from
all sources of heat.
